Good day to you all,
Please excuse my writing in English as my German is not yet up to fluency level. I have a big problem with my fixed internet contract in Nürnberg, please allow me to explain, perhaps someone has an idea:
My CableMax 1000 internet contract (Kunden-Nr. 934579609), since a few weeks ago, only allows up to 100 Mbps download speeds and this with daily router restarts (FRITZ!Box 6660). I honestly don't know if or when things will improve. I have only a few months left of the contract and I seriously consider switching to Telekom and their Fiber Optics offer (they are present in my building) although being more expensive. To be honest, it worked ok for the first 2 or 3 months after I got the contract, and then it all started to go downhill. I was okish with this as the speeds never dropped below 300 Mbps (having an average of under 500 which is more than reasonable) but now, why should I pay for something I never get to use. I tried Wi-Fi/cable connection on laptop/desktop/mobile... Same result. Now, it got to the point that the internet connection drops once every 3 to 4 hours at least and nothing solves it but a router restart. Please, someone offer some advice/help. I attach some speed test results. I just restarted the router to be able to post this, so I can't screenshot just yet the cable information/channels section of the router, but the uncorrectable errors are present on the 722.000, 730.000 and 130.000 frequencies. Unfortunately, I only have an older screenshot of this at this moment.
