Vodafone Kabel can't send signal to my new address

Hello all,
I just moved to a new address and applied to relocation service before moving.

The customer service said the data line of my new address is owned by a private company so I need to get a contract from them first. So, they will allow Vodafone to send signals only with this contract.

I just contacted this private company and they send me the contract but now I have to pay 70 euros as an installation fee and 20 euros monthly to this company.

So it will be my monthly Vodafone bill + 20 euros to this company which I find ridiculous... My Vodafone contract is valid until September but can I cancel it in this case? Because basically, Vodafone can't provide the service they promise at this address.

Thanks in advance

Yes, that's the case. This company owns the local cable network infrastructure and wants to be paid for their service of building and maintaining the local cable network. Vodafone only has a headend and sends data through their network...

Most likely no because your contract can be provided at the new address.

As far as I remember the Terms and Conditions, you have to provide and pay for the necessary cable network access in case there is a third-party-provider involved -- and as Vodafone would be able to provide you if you would pay for this line, there might be no right to prematurely cancel.

As you said before - Vodafone can provide you the service but you have to pay the base fee to that company in order to get network access.

Most likely you will also have paid this base fee at your old appartment as part of the rent - but some landlords decide not to put this base fee into the rent and in that case you have to pay for it on your own.

I see. Thank you for the answer.

One more thing, that now when I log in to my Vodafone, I see this alert message in the red box:

Vertrag abgelaufen

Du kannst diese Vodafone-Produkte (ehemals Kabel-Vertrag) nicht mehr nutzen.

What does that really mean? Is my contract canceled somehow?
