No internet for 7 days

I have had no internet for 7 days already. Today the ticket was closed, simply closed, with the pathetic excuse that no one could communicate with me over the phone in my preferred language. As if I hadn't spoken to Vodafone twice a day since last Thursday, always in German except yesterday morning.

I honestly think that 7 days is 6.5 days too many days without a valid response. Since I was recommended to come to the forum instead, I hope that someone here can help me.

I lost the connection sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. I realized the problem on Thursday around 12:30, and I know things worked around 00:30 or 01:00. The connection hasn't been intermitent. It's completely lost since then.

The router is referred to in your documents as a Vodafone Station. It has no reference I could use to better identify the model. If I restart it, the internet LED goes red and after a while it flashes white then becomes steady white. The phone LED is steady white as well.

I explained that over the phone and a new cable was sent to me. It was quite obvious it wouldn't help, but well. It didn't. Still steady white LEDs and no internet.

Needless to say that this is extremely disappointing.

I tend to think that an update was pushed during that night and things went wrong somehow. I'd be very grateful if someone could provide a solution. Thanks.

Hi oskargb,

I like to look at your connection to find out what is going on. Because I agree with you, 7 days is quite long...

Can you please send me your name, address, date of birth and customer number in a PM? Then I can take a look at it and also see what's going on with the ticket, what has just been closed.

Please let me know back here when you have sent the message.

Many greetings, Manu

Hi Manu,

Thanks for your message, and sorry I didn't come back to the forum. I called Vodafone again that evening to complain that this is not how I expect things to work, and they finally sent in a technician. He did his tests and concluded the router was at fault. Once replaced, everything become functional again.

It's unacceptable that a service provider asks a customer to go find help on the forums for a technical issue. Like if someone's words here would have magically fixed my router. Everyone I spoke with on the phone has been very nice and understanding, but whoever sent that SMS to me embarrassed himself and embarrassed Vodafone. A company cannot treat a customer like that, leaving him without service for 7 days and even telling him to basically bugger off. I'm extremely disappointed.

This thread can be closed. I'm not sure if I can do that myself. Feel free to close it.

Cheers,

Oscar
