EasyBox 804 Has Problem With New Devices.

I got a new notebook Win10 PC (from Dell) and iphone (XR).

Both have problems when connecting to my EasyBox 804 WiFi.

 

When the new PC connects to the EasyBox, NO INTERNET ACCESS. The PC wireless connection is set to configure automatically (the usuall settings), but the necessary IP addresses are not received.

 

NO PROBLEM when connected to other WiFi (e.g. in hotels, restaurants, iPhone mobile hotspot etc.). NO PROBLEM when my older devices (Win7 & 10 PCs, Android smartphone) connect to my EasyBox. NO PROBLEM when the new PC connects to the mobile hotspot in an old PC which is connected to my Easybox WiFi.

 

I got a new USB wireless adapter, and tried connecting. The SAME PROBLEM happens when using the new USB wireless adapter in the old Win10 PC, even though it has no problem when connected to the EasyBox using it's own (internal) wireless adapter.

 

Basically, all the old devices that we have at home work ok with my EasyBox. These are all at least 18 months old. The easybox has hardware version number R01. I think the new devices are all less that 3 months old. 

 

I need to be able to connect my PC to the WiFi, and I have already spent a lot of time on this. Can somebody please help fix this problem?

Hey homeAlone,

this is not a known bug of the router / firmware.
Since WLAN is working with other devices, i doubt that its a faulty box.

If its still covered by warranty we can swap the box.

I don't see anything saying "Sende eine private Nachricht".

But anyway, I now have a service ticket number for this problem: TA00000***.

Is it possible for you to follow this up using this number? Presumably my customer number was recorded when the service ticket was started.

 

This looks to me very much looks like a problem with the EasyBox. It is very consistent: it happens when all 3 new devices try to connect by WiFi to my EasyBox 804. All 3 devices have no problem with any other WiFi that I have tried. Yesterday, a friend with a fairly new iPhone visited, and when he tried to connect to my EasyBox he got the same problem. The automatic configuration of the necessary IP adresses, and subnet mask did not work.

 

Of course, I checked the WiFi connections settings in the new PC, and they are the same as the in the old PC (that works ok). Anyway, all my devices have the usual settings that get IP addresses automatically, nothing special. 

The exact same thing happens to me. iPhone 11 Pro, EasyBox 804 - no Internet connection. Other devices work. Renders the Vf DSL solution useless, as I cannot use my phone for most things in my own home.

Any solution to this, Vodafone?
