Dear Vodafone Customer Service,
I am writing to request the cancellation of my contract for home internet (kundennummer ***), which I have been trying to do with your service team since July 8th 2018.
After contacting your service several times, I was finally able to speak to a customer service representative who acknowledged my request and initiated the termination procedure. However, the termination date was set to 14.12.2018 which is incorrect as I plan to leave Germany by September 12th, 2018.
Thus I kindly request once more that my home internet contract be terminated by mid-September 2018 and that you may provide me with the necessary confirmation and instructions on the termination procedure (e.g. return of Vodafone router, etc).

Hi DrSE,
unfortunately the cancellation date is correct. Due to German law the contracts will be cancelled with a term of three months after the moving date. So if you move in mid-September the contract will in mid-December.
