New Cable connection does not work

Hi,

I recently switched my internet plan and received a new modem from Vodafone but after connecting the cable, the modem is not getting signal and there is no internet connectivity. I would be thankful if you could fix this problem at the earliest.

You post here on the DSL board, i.e. internet over the telephone line. Your report sounds more like a cable router, because with a DSL router you would have to enter the MIC from the order confirmation so that it can log in.
What kind of technology is it with you - DSL over the telephone line or Internet over the TV cable?
