Hello there,

Apologies is in the wrong place to post. I have two separate contracts with Vodafone, for both mobile and Internet + Phone. However, my job is now taking me to Paris, and I am wondering what to do. My phone contract runs until February, the Internet + Phone contract until September.

I called customer support, and they said to write a letter, which I did. I've now received an email in response telling me to post here, which I now am. 

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'll be glad to help you. Since you are leaving Germany, your cable contract will be terminated 3 months after your move according to the Telecommunications Act. If you want me to help you with this, I need some data from you by private message. Please send me your customer number, name, date of birth and address. Please also write me your moving date and your new address. Please contact me again here in the thread.

we need your new address, otherwise we can only cancel the contract at the end of the term.
Apart from that, we can't do any processing because your contract hasn't been paid since March. So there are open items that have to be paid first.

Hello Grit, 

I'll be resolving that when I come to Berlin this weekend. Situation has been a pain and less than ideal, but now I have a permanent address here I can get things moving again. I get my keys on Friday, and I'll pass on my new address right after. 

Would the same process apply for the mobile phone contract I have with Vodafone, too?

 

And what would the process be for returning the modem? I know I will have to pay the three months further as Nancy has mentioned, but it makes no sense to keep the modem if I'm not there.

the return of the device will then be included in the confirmation of termination. This will be sent as soon as we have been able to process the cancellation.

 

I can't answer your question about your mobile phone contract. Please open an article on the appropriate board so that a mobile phone colleague can have a look at it.
