Over the past week my router has been constantly restarting, specially when I try to connect a new device. Could you check if I need a replacement?

Hello MIAinternet,
to correct the malfunction, a technician is required at your connection. Different signal values do not fit there any more. Please send me another PN , this time with your cell phone number and the information if you can access the house amplifier.
Have you noticed any signs of Covid-19 in your household?
Best regards, Martin

Hello MIAinternet,
so can the property management grand you access? Maybe the janitor can attend the appointment. I also checked the other modems in the building, yours is the only one that has signal problems. The coaxial cable belongs to your area of responsibility, so please replace it to make sure that this is not the source of the bad signal.
Kind regards
Claudia

Hi Claudia,
Yes, I asked them and the janitor can grant access to the amplifier. Probably the best option is that the janitor also joins the pointment as you suggested, I can send you his contact, if needed. I also tried a new cable, as you suggested, but the problem pesists, so it seems that the problem is caused by the modem or the amplifier.
best regards
