DSL router connection issue

Hi! Apologies for writing in English here, my German is nowhere good enough to cover technical talk -

Yesterday Vodafone upgraded our DSL connection to a faster speed (in Weissensee , Berlin). So our internet was switched off and then we got a text from Vodafone to restart our router after 5pm. We have the  EasyBox 804 . So we restarted the router and got to the activation page on my laptop, but it keeps saying to plug in the DSL cable, and I can't click the continue button (it's grayed out).

Does anyone else ever have this issue or know what the issue is? We don't understand how it could be the cable or our router, as we've never had any issues the last 5 years we've had it. Never even restarted it until yesterday. But now we don't have internet. We've tried restarting several times (leaving the router alone for 20 minutes each time to fully restart) and have unplugged and replugged the DSL into the router, but it still won't connect.

As our German isn't the best, we'll try contacting Vodafone, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier.

to which speed did you upgrade?

In the letter Vodafone sent us about this, they said we could go from our 16MBit/s to 50Mbit/s

try requesting a new MIC (Modeminstallationcode)

https://www.vodafone.de/meinvodafone/services/installationscode-anfordern

and reconfigure your Easybox from scratch

We don't get far enough along in the reconfiguration to even enter our MIC. We're just stuck here, even through our DSL is plugged it, and we've tried restarting/unplugging itvodafone dsl.jpg
