I originally signed up for Vodafone in May 2023. I was under the impression that I would receive 6 months for free by transferring from o2. However, when I joined my phone number with Vodafone didn't work correctly and I couldn't make phone calls - the most basic function. Also, the English customer support sent me in circles and eventually I switched back to o2. However, Vodafone told me I couldn't cancel my contract and ended up charging me for the full amount during that 6 month period. To add insult to injury, I was stuck with a 24 month plan I didn't want. Now I've left Germany and am trying to cancel the contract with a de-reigstration certificate. I'm going through the same customer support feedback loop, where no one can seem to answer my question. I just want to be rid of this service where Vodafone seems to create technical faults in their favor.

Hello @jacobmcpherson ,
It seems that something has gone wrong. Our term contracts run for 24 months. Did you submit everything for the 6 free months? (Cancellation from O2). If you do not cancel your contract within 14 days, it will remain in place for 24 months, unless there is a valid reason for special termination.
Please contact us via our contact channels and we will help you.
Best regards
Denny

Yes @DennyW I sent in my right to withdrawal and proof of termination from o2 in the time needed. Now Vodafone is telling me I need to pay €306 to cancel early, even though I’ve permanently left Germany and you don’t provide serve at my new address. I’ve tried contacting customer support and have been told various things.

Hi @R4mona I have used the various channels, as stated earlier. Vodafone told me I can use my service in my new country, even though they don't operate there. The customer support options are limited for English speakers. Do you have a concrete resolution?
