I am currently using the Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable U plan, which I started on January 27, 2022, and the contract is now ending. I would like to switch to a lower tariff with 250 Mbps, but I cannot find an option to downgrade my plan online. I have explored all possible links and the website, but the only option I can see is to cancel the contract. So, basically what Vodafone tries, in my understanding is to push me to continue with the 1000 Mbps plan at a higher price. Canceling the contract is not my priority, but if there is no alternative to switch to a lower tariff, I may have no choice!
Any help to find a solution to switch to a lower tariff is much appreciated. Thank you!

That must have been an old thread - since 8/22 this here is only a customer-to-customer forum, no individual support from Vodafone is available here. As mentioned before: use WhatsApp.

You need to contact customer care - the best for English support would be using WhatsApp - and ask them for a Downgrade.
Anyhow keep in mind that your 24 months minimum contract term will then restart -and- that you will be changed to a newer GigaZuhause tariff plan that then also includes basic TV services and is therefor more expensive than the old Red Internet & Phone plans that are not available anymore.

Thank you for the input. I'll try the hotline. I'll try WhatsApp as well as sugested by @reneromann. In another thread, I saw Vodafone support answering to the thread directly, which made me post a separate thread. Thank you!

I was able to resolve the issue through WhatsApp at 0172-1217212. My initial chat with the bot connected me to Vodafone support, and they successfully changed my tariff. WhatsApp was much more convenient for me than a phone call, especially due to the language barrier. Thank you to everyone involved @reneromann @Gelöschter User @Peter_Co for your input!
