Leaving Germany and cancelling contract

Hello,

 

my name is Óscar, I have an internet contract with you at home. Today I just notified at the online Vodafone Umzugsservice that I will leave Germany at the end of September. I have been reading other posts here in the Community about the same topic including those of the moderators. But let me quickly ask a couple of questions to make sure I am getting things right.

 

 - So far, this notification is the only thing I needed to do, right? Then, whenever I can officially do my Abmeldung at the Bürgeramt (1 week before leaving) I have to send you a copy of this document. Do you need the copy to be sent by post? Can it be done by email?

 - Also, during that same week I have to send you back the router per post. Are you sending any confirmation letters to my German address after this? This would be a problem because I would not be living there anymore.

 - I can already see in my portal (Meine Vertragsdaten) the following: Vertragsende: 30.09.2022. This means that the last month that I will pay is September 2022, is this correct?

You have some questions. I'll be happy to answer them.

 

1. If you have reported your move through our online moving service, that's all you need to do. The easiest way to send your proof is to use our contact form. Just write TOBi "I want to send a proof" in German: "Ich will einen Nachweis senden".

 

2. The confirmation of receipt of the device will be sent by e-mail or SMS. One of the two must be on your record.

 

3. If your contract ends on 30.09.22, that is the last day that will be charged.
