Moving from Kable to DSL

Apologies for not speaking Deutsche.

I have recently moved to a new apartment in the same city. Unfortunately the new building does not support cable connection and speed that I had with the old apartment. So, after the moving request I was suggested to cancel my ongoing cable contract and apply for a new DSL one. I was told it would be seemless and quick.

Recently I got an email that my cable contract will be canceled on 29-Nov (current date 1st Nov). But I have already moved to my new apartment and hence can't use this internet.

I have tried calling the customer helpline for DSL, Cable, the moving department several times daily but they just keep playing ping pong with me. DSL says we can't do anything, ask the cable company, they haven't canceled the contract. Cable says we can only cancel the contract when DSL installs a new connection, the moving department says we can not install DSL before December, call your DSL provider.
This now seems like a huge mistake to select vodafone as my ISP. I don't speak deutsche, so I have to call 20 times a day to each of the above parties to find someone who speaks english. And then explain my sob story from the beginning and wait for them to ask me to call the other department.
Is there any solution to this issue? Can I atleast get an intermediate solution for internet so I can work from home while DSL-CABLE-Moving department can play musical chair with my time and money?

* I apologize if it sounds like a rant, but I am exhausted. Hoping for some kind of a solution here. I can provide my details in PM.

Edit @VGarg Thread moved to the correct board. Cheers, DanyG

Hi VGarg,

I'm really sorry, that there are so many problems with your relocation. It's correct, that your cable contract will be cancelled, when the DSL connection is active.

Please send me your new DSL customer or order number and your customer password (alternatively name, the new address and birth date of the contract owner) via private message.

BR,

Dany

Hello @dane, I will be in the same situation next month. I am moving to the new region in the same city without Vodafone Cable, but DSL. I just renew my contract with Vodafone Cable last month after 2 years. I wonder if I can cancel the current contract and say goodbye to Vodafone?

You can report your move. If no cable connection from Vodafone is possible in the new apartment, the contract will be terminated with a notice period of 1 month (from receipt of the notification of the move). You are not forced to switch to Vodafone DSL.
However, since this thread has been marked as solved for a long time, I'm closing it now.
