Moving flat in same building (back house to front house)

I don't have good german and have struggled when calling vodafone in the past so I can't call technical support for this request.

I am moving flat this Friday (31 October 2025) and I wish to keep the same contract and FritzBox. The Kabel port is different to my own box, so I bought an adapter and this does work - as I plugged the box into the new flat with the adapter, and my wifi was on and I connected to it. The internet did not work though (no pages loaded).

Is there something on the vodafone side that needs to happen for the internet to work from the new flat? Since the box is plugged into a different port?

I would really appreciate some help!

If you have a DSL contract (e.g. internet using the phone outlet), you need to report a move as the physical connection between the outlets needs to be re-wired and thus a technician visit is definitely required.

If you have a Cable contract (e.g. internet using the antenna outlet), you would also need to report a move, but most likely the new antenna outlet will work from the start. Yet in case you face problems, you can then ask for a technician to check the outlet.

Maybe you can post the type of FritzBox you are using - that would give a guess...

And maybe you can post a picture of the old outlet as well as the new one...

I have a Cable contract. The FritzBox that I am using is a FRITZ!BOX 6670 Cable. I have attached images of the old and new ports. The tennant in the flat I am moving to is currnelty using DSL, but there is a Cabel port there as well, which I plugged my fritzbox into and the wifi did connect - but nothing loaded on it.
The current tenant of the new flat has also said they had trouble getting vodafone in the past, maybe to do with this Cabel connection?

Please let me know if there is anything else you need!
