Dear,
I am moving from Berlin to Munich, and as I didn't find a new apartment in Munich, I'll stay the first month (or months) on a temporary flat, already with internet connection. My Vodafone DSL contract is still valid until October 2025 and my new temporary flat's address is not covered by Vodafone (I already checked on the website), which gives me special rights of termination.
But, I am still not sure if I want to cancel, because when I find my new apartment, I'd like to keep my contract, if possible. What are my options to deal with the first months in which I'll be in a temporary flat? Can I "pause" my contract? Will there be a problem if the new tenant of my current apartment in Berlin start a new contract with Vodafone or any other company in this address? For example, If I don't cancel my current contract, will I be "occupying the line" on the current Berlin flat?
Thank you in advance.

Hey @marcosmonteiro,
If the DSL contract at the old address is not terminated, the line will actually remain occupied. This means that the new tenant would not be able to book a DSL connection. The easiest thing to do would really be to terminate the contract. And as soon as you have a new apartment, sign a new contract.
The advantage is also that you can then benefit from the new customer conditions. 🙂
Best regards
Denny

Hi @DennyW , thank you for your answer. In my contract it says there's a 3-months notice period for cancelation. But I'll leave my current flat in a month from now. Does it mean the line will remain occupied for this period? Or can I pay the three months notice at once and already have the line free for the next tenant?
Thank you again for your help.
Marcos.

Hello marcosmonteiro,
the contract will continue for another 3 months and the amount will be deducted month by month. This means that after your special right of termination, your contract will continue for another 3 months.
Kind regards
Ricky
