Last time it was enough to write in English. I hope this time you can help me too. 
I have a problem with my internet WLAN connection for more than one month. The Internet frequently loses connection for a few seconds. This is not a big problem while using my computer, because it reconnects in a few seconds. But when watching some online video streaming service on TV it is very annoying to wait for Smart TV to realize that there is no internet connection and to reconnect. This happens very frequently.

 

Can you please take a look?

Here is my data:

  • Contract:  Red Internet & Phone 500 Fable + Television GigaTV
  • Modem / Router:  WLAN cable router Vodafone Station (model:  tg3442en)
  • Lend device
  • How is your device connected to the modem:  WLAN  
  • Browser:  Safari, Chrome, Mozilla
  • Operating system:  macOS, Samsung TV, FireTV, Android ...
  • Beginning and period: more than 1 month

Hello Ozzzy,

 

do the disconnects happen with an ethernet connection as well? Did you do a factory reset with the router? How often do the WiFi devices lose the connection? Does this happen rather in the evening? Which speed do you get?

I do not use an ethernet connection, only wifi with all my devices.

I tried soft reset many times and it didn't solve the problem. Also. when I tried to connect yesterday to my router to check logs the password was changed to the default one, so I guess it was already rested by itself. Anyway, how can I initiate a factory reset once again?

 

Devices lose connection very frequently. Approximately once in an hour. Sometimes it happens that connection is lost several times in a row. I am the most aware of this behavior in the evening when I am back. But my wife also reported this behavior for the whole day. We have 50Mb/s.

Hello Ozzzy,

 

you can make a factory reset by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds or more. Your signal looks good so far, if the reset doesn't help we may try and replace the device.
