New router and no activation code

I recieved a replacement router and when I hooked it up it asked for my activation code.  I entered the one from my welcome letter however an error came up and said the device was already registered to another user.  I attemepted to request a new activation code but an error message popped up saying the activation portal failed.  I tried contacting the vodafone technicians but I've been unable to make it past the phone prompt.  Is there another way to recieve an activation code?

why do you want another activation code? You did not get any error message that this is wrong or no longer valid. The hint was a different one.
