So no luck with 2G/3G option, all APN settings seem to be fine. Do not receive push notifications for many apps but receive for a few such as WhatsApp and Viber. All notification settings have been checked and are working. Other issues include Google Maps being offline for directions, no Gmail unless I manually check for messages, and cannot send or receive messages in Google Hangouts.
Any other thoughts or ideas?

Hi eriddler,
did you check in the mobile phone under the App's, whether the mobile data is activated or a data limit is deposited?
If I understand you correctly, the data service generally works, but not for individual apps, that would be my first approach.
Is the One Plus 5 a dual SIM phone?

If you come straight over mobile data into the forum, then you have no general data problem. Dualsim I had requested, because there can be used only a sim card for mobile data and SIM cards in slot 2 have worse network connections, especially in 4G. Does the problem only affect a specific address? If yes, which address?

The dual sim is not an issue. We have the same exact phones with one (mine) having a SIM card in both slots, of which the Vodafone is in Slot 1 and my US SIM card in Slot 2. My wife's phone is exactly the same, but only has one SIM card installed, which is the Vodafone one.
Prior to about a month or so ago, the phones worked fine. We did not touch the sim cards, etc. As mentioned, both phones now suffer from the same issue with data working on some items:
1. Chrome
2. Viber messages
3. Whatsapp messages
Data does not work for:
1. Google Hangouts (not SMS, but data messages like Viber/Whatsapp)
2. Gmail
3. Twitter notifications
These are all examples, and I'm probably missing some. Once we connect to WiFi everything comes flooding in....
I've been checking the OnePlus forums to no avail, and Google as well....just trying to fix this so the wife doesn't leave me!

you can allow or deny individual apps mobile data - do you have checked the app settings of Hangouts, Gmail and Twitter? It makes no sense that only individual applications can not use the mobile data connection. Either mobile data works or not - in between there is no option. Maybe there was an update for your phone that has changed the settings?
And we never ever want your wife to leave you. ![]()
