Hello,
I subscribed to a Vodafone Internet contract beginning of March when I moved in to Berlin in an apartment.
For different reasons, I will change apartment in June, but the new apartment already has internet (I will subrent).
Is there a way to cancel my subscription? And what is the process?
Thanks a lot for the help,
Best
Mau

Hello MauCa,
is it DSL or cable? Is the contract at the new address with Vodafone or another provider? Can you use the current contract at the new address, so the address is supplied?
Regards
Grit

Hello Grit,
At the current address, the Internet is cable and is provided by Vodafone, with who we have the contract.
The new address already has an internet contract in place with a provider, so we cannot take our contract with us there.
Our solution would be to have the new tenants take over the contract
Would that option be possible?
Thanks a lot,
Mau

Hi MauCa,
what kind of connection is that at the new address (DSL or cable)? Basically, if cable is available, the connection moves with it and cannot be terminated prematurely.

Hello, cable is not available. Connection at the new address is DSL.
How do I continue with termination?
Thank you,

Hi MauCa,
please send me the new address and the moving date by private message. I will then take care of the termination according to telecommunications law with a notice period of 3 months. Write briefly here in the thread as soon as you have sent the PM.
Best regards
Lars

Hi MauCa,
I took a look at it. At the new address internet and telephone are possible via cable. Who said that it is not possible? When is the move planned?
Best regards
Lars

Hi Lars,
I asked the current tenants and they thought the cable was not possible.
We are moving on Saturday. We will subrent for the current tenants and they already have an internet connection (DSL) with an internet provider.
How can we proceed to terminate?
The new tenants from my current address are also willing to take over our contract, that would work?
Thanks,
Mau

Hi MauCa,
Since the connection is available at the new address, the termination does not apply according to the Telecommunications Act. Since the connection can be used independently of a DSL connection, you must decide whether to take the contract with you or terminate it at the end of the term. A transfer to the next tenant is unfortunately not possible. How would you like to act?
Best regards
Lars
