EasyBox 804 - wifi stopped working on 2.4 Ghz

Since yesterday my router (EasyBox 804) suddenly stopped broadcasting signal on 2.4 Ghz. It works on 5 Ghz only.
Because of this some of my devices which work only on 2.4 Ghz are unable to use the Internet now!

I tried unplugging the router and factory reset - twice. In easy.box config I tried different broadcast channels, changing password encryption, splitting SSID, etc... Nothing helped, still only 5Ghz SSIDs are visible.

And I see a lot of customers have the same problem and some of them have received a new router - can I also get one?

Hi Norman,

I didn't do anything and it started working again. If anyone has similar issue, it is broadcasting correctly now on: 802.11n, Channel 11. If it stops, I'll try to revert it to this channel and if it fails I'll send you a PM.

I had connection issues on weekend around 4PM, though. Are all ISPs in Berlin so unstable like that? Is it because of too many connected people? These days if I have one full week without connection issues I consider myself very lucky.

Hi Wurtz,

the quality of the WIFI can be affected by many external factors.

Like your neighbour's WIFI and the structual condition of your apartment.

This is why it is not part of your contract as the quality of your WIFI can not be guaranteed.

If you have issues with the connection using LAN cable you can open a technical ticket and we will check the line.

Regards,

Jens
