I'm moving in a same city from cable to DSL line.  I have got the new device FRITZ! Box 7590 (rental device) and wanted to set it up. I cant find where I can change the language to english. (In my current Compal it is easy to find.)

Would you plese someone help me to find it!

As you see, my German is not good.

(BTW: In MyVodafone page the processing status is stating it is still on the way, so it has not been updated properly.)

Hi Dezmo,

your FRITZ!Box 7590 doesn't contain the possibility to change the language option.

Maybe the information  from AVM can help you so far.

Dany

Dear Dany, Thanks for your reply, however your answer does not help really.  According to my parallel research the German version does not contain English language.

But do you know:

- if the international version of 7590 will work on Vodafone DSL?

- is there another rental device fron Vodafone that have an English?

What is the procedure if i want to:

a) use my own device

b) want to get new rental device from Vodafone with English language in it?

Bonus questions:

I have never ever thought that a can exist with only one language.  It's nonsense!! What is the benefits? Is there not enough "memory " or RAM in this device for more languages,  or what?

Hi Dezmo,

sorry, that it was not helpful for you. Of course, you can use your own (international) device. But when you decided for a rental device, it will stay part of your contract as long as the contract ends. Another possibility of a router with English surface is the EasyBox 804.

Since when is your DSL contract running? Is it already activated?

Dany

Hi Dany,

Thanks for your efforts.

When I decided for rent a device I have not been informed well enough. Because I have never ever thought that:

- The device will not have an English interface. ( You know,  all my previous devices - two of it from Vodafone - have an English language in it)

- I have never ever thought that the contract is written into stone and Vodafone will not be flexible enough to change one part of it.

The physical connection is planned to do by Vodafone specialist at  19th of May. Vodafone will charge 60€ if I will not be at home.  Can I charge 60€ if he/she will not come on time?

The EasyBox 804 is by far behind of Fritzbox regards to technical specifications. There is only 100Mbit for dsl which is below 175, what I willing to pay for. So I don't want less.

I guess the best if I shut my mouth, and leave the modem as it is. I have enough experience with routers and modem to figure out what and where to change even if it is in German. Does not matter if it will make more time....

Have a nice & healthy time

Just for your information:

I have been able to set up the connections in the new AVM 7590 device using German languagge.

It has been taken about one and half hours. I guess it would have been about 10 minutes in English....

...but it has been done.

I would like to say thank you to all who have been helped me 😉

Have a nicce and healthy times
