Leaving Germany, contract canceled but have to pay more fees?!

have cancelled my phone and dsl contract which has been accepted, I received a letter stating I must pay the remainder of the contract which will be added to my final bill. This I find totally unfair as I will be leaving Germany and returning back to the United Kingdom, I have read somewhere that if you are leaving the Germany that a telecom law states you should not be penalized by having to continue with financial payments for services you can no longer receive. Is this correct. I look forward to your help in this matter.

What kind of connection did you use? DSL or cable?

Did you mention that you are leaving Germany and did you send us a proof?

Hi Gareth1,

I just sent you a PM.

The contract will end on July 31st and we will not charge a compensation.

The confirmation says that we only charge it if we can provide you with DSL at the new location.

This is not the case.
