Hello,
I live in 10405 Berlin and use Kabel Internet 50Mbps since the beginning of September'21. Since then, I am experiencing constant instability, higher pings (google meet videos are going on/off regularly when I am in the meetings).
In addition to that, almost 1 time a day, the internet cuts off completely by itself, all the lights in the modem turns off and it takes another 10 minutes for the internet to come back. That is regularly happening since I use the internet.
I am asking for any help in that regard.
Thanks

Hello Ermans,
please send me the name of the contract holder, the date of birth, the complete address and the customer number via PN .
After that, leave a short feedback here, then I'll be happy to have a look at your connection.
Best regards, Martin

Hello Ermans,
What are your download and upload speeds?
Are your devices connected to the cable router via LAN or W-LAN and have you ever reset it to factory settings?
Best regards, Martin

Hi,
I currently tested as16 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload.
But there are times that even though the download speed is around 50Mbit, videos are turning off when doing online meeting.
And 1-2 times a day internet cuts off completely for 10-15mins.
I turned the modem on and off sometimes, but did not reset it if there is another procedure for resetting

Hello Ermans,
WiFi can be disturbed by many factors. Can you find a device with an ethernet port to test the connection via cable? Please also try the tips for the WiFi optimisation.
Kind regards,
Claudia

Hi again,
switching to a 5Ghz wireless did a little bit help to improve the consistency problem. I am receiving approximately 50Mbit/s internet speed with 5Ghz.
But I still have the general problem of the router turning off itself regularly. I believe that's the problem of Vodafone routers. I was subscribed to Vodafone DSL before September 2021 and using FritzBox, and I sent my Fritzbox Router last month back to Vodafone.
Is there a way that Vodafone could send me back a FritzBox router in that sense? (by replacing this Vodafone router)
Thanks

Hello Ermans,
I have arranged for the firmware to be updated via our specialist department. Please test whether it runs better with this.
A Fritzbox can only be ordered with a device change, which costs €29.99 once and then €4.99 monthly rent.
However, there are currently delivery problems, so we cannot order this at the moment.
Many greetings
Jana
