FRITZBox 6660 low network range

Vodafone cable.

i switched to vodafone cable recently from vodafone DSL. 

I wanted better connectivity but now with Vodafone cable 6660 , it is worse. in my 50 meter apartment, network range is availble only in 10 meter room where the router is . if i go 5 meters away from router in kitchen or bathroom , there is almost no signal.

Please advise , what can i do . Its pathetic and very frustrating.

Can i change to better router  ? if yes then how ?

Can i change back to DSL or some other option to make life easy ?

Hi @Bansal,

so, you are basicly talking about Wifi - right? You can try to connect to 2,4GHz / or 5GHz network, you could try different channels 🙂

Now I messed up everything @Tobias .I was changing settings and accidently while trying things ,i changed it to mesh repeater. Now my fritzbox is permanently  down. Restarted it and checked everything. It is not coming up. Can you please help me to reset it to default  setting.  I can not reach my fritzbox as it is not now detected in http://frtizbox! UI. Please help.

first rule, no panic - we can get that 😉 Look at the link Kieferer sended already,- follow these steps and you can fix that 🙂
