Dear Vodafone Team, 

Could you please guide me through the steps to cancel my existing contract? I contacted the helpline in April 2021 and I was told to call them back in November. My contract ends in November 2021. 

 Yesterday, I called the helpline again, and now they said  I should cancel my service online which I did, however, I still need to pay for my service until November 2022 (called cancellation period). The sad thing is, I could not use the GigaCube due to high delays and poor performance. I have called several times for the performance but never improved.  

So now, I paid for a service that I can not use for the entire contract duration. And now I have to pay for it during the cancellation period. I am misinformed twice about the cancellation policy. (1) In April 2021, they did not cancel my service (2) As of yesterday, I have to wait for another year for the service to end.

 You can also look at my usage, it is very clear that the line is not being used. I feel being penalized for being Vodaphone customer. I have spent more time talking to the support line, ( writing emails like this one ) THAN actually using the service over the last 2 years. This is not fair. I have completed my contractual agreement, PLEASE cancel my service effective immediately. Please send me an email confirming the cancellation effective immediately.

A termination unfortunately (still) requires text form. In addition, the contracts have a notice period of 3 months at the end of the term. If the notice of termination is not submitted in time, the contract will (still) be extended by 12 months. However, there will be a change in the law on December 1st, 2021, according to which telecommunications contracts can be terminated monthly after the minimum contract period has expired. So you can cancel your contract next month to the end of (?) January 2022. The exact date depends on when the term ends.
