Extra 30€+ billing for months

Hello,

I had a contract before where It was agreed I should pay 34.99€ per month, and as such, that value was leaving the account every month, and it shows on the MeinVodafone page as well.

There are 2 issues though:
1- During months, extra money was being payed and I am not sure why (up to 30+€ per month), the message accompaning it on the bank app was different and I did not receive any invoice or have any reference for it on MeinVodafone
2- The contract was terminated in april but recently another 34.99€ started leaving the account, it happened already in the last 2 months despite the contract being over (and I am not receiving any invoice related to that as well).  The bank messages attached to these new payments are the same of those extra values from before.

These are the messages attached to the bank transfer

normal message (from the expected payment):

Message from the unexpected payments:

Portion of all the payments I have done (note that I was supposed to only pay 34.99€ per month)

Another strange thing that I found was that the Merchant name on the bank transactions would vary between:
Vodafone gmbh
Vodafone Deutschland gmbh
Vodafone Kabel Deutschland gmbh

This is all really strange and I have spent over 200€ on these charges already.

Side note: I started a new contract and no money left my account still despite it being suppose to, it's a different contract with a different bank account and package value so I doubt it's related, just funny that there's an issue there as well but I guess I'll leave the details for another post.

Vodafone GmbH is mobile or DSL, Vodafone Deutschland GmbH is ex-Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH and they give TV-Cable and Internet&Phone-Accounts. Did you switch from DSL to Cable?

The one paying "Vodafone sagt vielen Dank" is mostly from mobile for a smartphone or tablet.

Thanks for the reply,

There was no change from DSL to cable.

We do have a mobile phone, weird though that I would assume that it would also appear in the expenses of the MeinVodafone page, is there a place I can check my phone contract? because on MeinVodafone theres nothing there

You first have to add the contract in MeinVodafone. The best way to do this is with the customer number and the customer password, because then all SIM cards booked under the customer number can be seen in MeinVodafone. But it also works with each individual phone number and the customer password.

I see, well, we stopped using the phone quite a while ago and explicitly told to cancel the cell contract along side the internet one (in April)

The 2 payments done in June and July where from Vodafone GMBH (meaning it should be from cell ) but with the contract value on the internet (34.99). Either way, I believe the cell is no longer working at all so it is also not really easy to me to check it (apparently I need an sms to complete the addition of the cell contract to the MeinVodafone page)

Thanks again for the reply!

You cannot cancel a cable contract and a mobile phone contract with just one cancellation letter because it's two different companies giving you the services...

So you would have needed to send one cancellation to Vodafone Deutschland GmbH (or before Vodafone KabelDetuschland GmbH) for the cable contract -and- another one to Vodafone GmbH for your mobile contract.

Thus if you only sent one cancellation to Vodafone (Kabel)Deutschland GmbH, your cable contract will most presumably be cancelled, but your mobile contract will remain. And as some of the discounts may be time limited or were bound to the (now not anymore existing) cable contract.

Thank you, I believe at the time of the cancelation I was pretty clear that both contracts were to be canceled.

And I think they were because I had no charges whatsoever from vodafone the month after the cancelation, but the next 2 months I got charged with the amount of the original internet contract but sent by Vodafone Gmbh

Again - you cannot cancel both contracts with only a single cancellation notice. This is impossible as you have two different contracts with two individual companies. Therefor you need to send two distinct cancellations - one for each individual company -- as company A cannot process a cancellation request for company B and vice versa - neither will they forward them as these are independent companies.

So if you only sent one cancellation, even if you stated that you'd like to cancel all contracts and even if you listed both, your mobile and your landline connection, it simply cannot be processed in that way.

As I said - your mobile contract may have included any kind of time limited discounts that were running out at the end of the minimum term -and- there may have been a combination discount (GigaKombi) for having both, a landline and a mobile connection - also running out at the moment your landline contract was ended. This could be the simple reason why your mobile contract got more expensive...
