Hi,
The notification deadline to renew, cancel or modify my cellphone contract is tomorrow. I tried calling a few times, but could never get service in English. I decided to try doing online, but I was unsuccessful. I cannot modify my contract in anyway as a page ask me to call Vodafone to make any modification to my contract. Also, I cannot cancel my current contract as a page comes up saying I do not have the necessary rights to do this and that I should add my customer number in contract management page. While the contract is already there, if I try to add it again, it doesn't work for obvious reasons. Now since, tomorrow is Sunday, I doubt that anybody will be able to pick up the phone and if I manage to reach someone speaking English after that it will be too late. So I'm trying the community, hoping an administrator will see it.

I doubt an administrator here will pop in that fast - usually it'll take some days.
The thing with the customer number and your customer password is for your protection only so that nobody but you may change any of the contract details. If you have not added the contract using these information but if you used just the "simple" phone number plus SMS code feature to add the contract, you are not authenticated as contract owner but just as a simple user.
The main problem right now would be that it's solely in your obligation that your cancellation request is received by Vodafone in time - as it's too late for a regular mail, you might be screwed right now.
Anyhow this only is valid for cancellations -- modifications to the contract like extendsions or changes in tariff plan are even possible after that notice date.

Hi Marc-Andre1,
That was certainly very irritating.
As reneromann has written here, the deadline is relevant if you want to cancel the contract first. You can also extend the contract afterwards.
Have you been able to log in with your customer number and password and extend the contract?

I was not able to do it in time because the account was locked. I will have to call again and hopefully reach someone that speaks English to see how I can change the contract. Or perhaps you could help me on that regard?
