I am moving apartments and will have a three month period where I have a contract for both locations.  During this time, I'd like to sublet my old place to a tenant.

I'd like to be able to provide my tenant (old location) with internet, while simultaneously having a new kable contract at my new location.  I have a few questions about this:

  • Can I transfer my kable contract to the new tenant for that period, even if my tenant wont have anmeldung? (its just a 3 month stay).
  • If not, can i simultaneously have two kable contracts at different locations under my name?

The usual way is: You report your move to Vodafone, and if your contract is available at the new location it will move with you. Now for your specific circumstances it depends if your contract already is out of the 2 year minimum term. If that is the case it should be no problem to keep it running at the old place (don‘t forget to terminate it at the end of the 3 months) and sign a new contract at your new place (though you most likely will not get new-customer deals for it *and* it might be more expensive than your old contract because prices for new contracts went up). Moneywise the best deal for you would be to move your contract to your new location and have your tenant deal with getting some internet set up. If you want to be really nice (and it is available) get a DSL contract at the old place, for example from Congstar, which you can get on a month-by-month base.
