I am interested in changing to the new CableMax 1000, but I don't seem to have this option available. I am a Red Internet & Phone 500 Cable from 2/2019. I already have a TG3442DE cable modem, so I don't think I would need a new one sent.
In your case, you are out of the minimum contract period of 24 months and you can switch to the Cable Max. You will then be charged a one-time fee of € 9.99 for the early tariff change. Unfortunately, switching to self service is not possible in your case, but a mod can book it for you. To do this, it would be important to know which federal state you come from.
Thanks for the replied, Torsten. This is what I was expecting from what I read in the forums here. I think a 10 Euro transfer fee is fair, if I am saving 10 Euros a month for faster speeds. 🙂
Then have a little patience until a mod from VFD / ex-KDG reports here in the post and requests your data. In the worst case, this can take a few days.

Himatt604, I can offer you the GigaCable Max for 39,99 Euro permanently, since you are already out of the minimum contract term.
A one-off fee of EUR 9. 99 will be charged and the term starts again with 24 months. So you would save 10 euros every month and get twice the speed. We don’t have to change the cable router. The current one is also sufficient for the higher bandwidth.
