I am the person who previously opened a thread here in the forum, in order to write about a TV contract activation, without my consent. The TV issue was eventually resolved.
Today morning, I received a call from a local number unknown to me, which partially looks like +49911***11193. I could not fully understand what the caller was saying, but since he mentioned Vodafone, I was quick to tell him that I had not ordered any new package and that I am not expecting a new installation.
I eventually understood that it is only about checking the signal quality, since I have switched off the modem for some time now. I explained to him that I can be present towards the end of September, since I am absent now.
My questions are:
Is this a telephone number recognised by Vodafone?
If, when I get back, the signal and the modem work fine, should the technicial still do a signal check?
This service was not requested by me, will there be a charge if I tell the technician it is ok to come?
