I have had GigaTV for 1 year now, a Vodafone representative told us it would be cheaper to have it compared to our old contract. It isn't. GigaTV doesn't make any sense, most episodes are missing, the ones that I can watch are like they were recorded without being checked, they don't start at the right point & sometimes the end is missing.
The service has hardly been used & I wanted it removed from my account a long time ago, upon phoning Vodafone yesterday I was told that I must keep it for another year.
€14,99 a month for a broken service? Can I please have it removed?
If it worked properly then I'd probably use it but it's not I.O.

You will only get out of the contract after the regular term of the contract.
How many episodes in a season are not recorded correctly or are missing? Does this apply to a particular station?

In Mediatheken I go to Kinder and see for example what is watchable on Disney Channel. Das Haus der 101 Dalmatiner, season 1 episodes 7 to 11. Kikoumba episodes 1, 4, 5 & 15? OK... Boomerang has Agent Binky but it starts at episode 25. Perhaps I want to watch something on Fox. Great as long as it's A Million Little Things season 2 episode 3 & 4 followed by season 9 episode 10. TNT? Also a mess. It was clear to me at the start of 2020 that trying to watch GigaTV is pointless, so havd never used it. We only watch the HD channels (€9.99 per month pacjage) but I canceled that to save money. I thought tgat GigaTV wan going to be canceled after the first year but I am told I have to pay 12 more months for this ridiculousness. Ideally I would have the HD channels back & get rid of GigaTV, it's mainly for the children anyway, but we're stuck watching irregular episodes for the next year?
The internet service is very good tho, we're happy with that.

Hello Arisatis,
did you send a cancellation for GigaTV? Otherwise the contract keeps getting renewed. If there are only episodes from the Mediatheken that are missing and not recordings, that's an issue for the TV stations who are responsible for the content.

I thought it was clear at the start of my contract in 2020 that GigaTV was on a trial basis & that I did not need to do anything, it would be canceled automatically. If the €5 difference between HD channels & GigaTV is too much then perhaps I can upgrade my internet bandwidth & have the HDTV channels again? I just want GigaTV gone. It makes no sense.

then you have to cancel the GigaTV contract. It has a minimum contract term.

Is the minimum contract term longer than a year because I've already had it 12 months? Paid over €150 to watch a couple of hours of content.

GigaTV has a minimum contract term of 24 months and a notice period of 3 months.
