Hello Vodafone Team,
hope you are well.
I would like to ask you about my Abmeldung as I moved out of Germany. I have recieved a letter that it was canceled, but I was charged again even more than was the price I normally paid. Could you please check this and advice how to proceed, please?
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,
Denisa

Hello Abmeldung1,
For cancelling a contract because of a move in a foreign country, we need a proof of that. This can be for e.g. the de-registration form for your current German address.
Even if you leave Germany the contract won’t end with the date of your move. Due to German law the contract will end three months after the leaving date. If the notice of cancellation received us after the date of the move, the period starts on the day of the notification.
You reported your move on 25th of march 2020. Your contract therefore ends on 25th of june 2020.
Send me your deregistration certificate via pn.
Best regards
Tina

Hi Tina,
thank you for your reply.
I totally understand, but the issue is that my Abmeldung got lost via post and I had to ask to get a second one. As I did not have any proof that I moved out I could not cancel the contract with you. Moreover, now I have received a bill for almost 50 euros and before I paid less than 30 euros. As I have sent the router back to you, I do not see any reason to pay the higher price that I did not agreed on.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Denisa

Hello,
excuse me for being so blunt, but it's not relevant if you sent the device back. You signed a contract that can't be immediately terminated even if you move. So YOU have to pay the fees due. This has increased now that the first year with the promotion is over. The contract you have signed is based on these conditions.

Grit

Hi Grit,
thank you for your reply.
It is not about the router, but you have sent me the letter that the Internet is cancelled and asked me to send the router back as I did. There was not stated anything about the end date or the new price, which would be useful as it would be clear.
I would be glad if you could share the right procedure in this case, so I know how to proccess this next time. As the contract states that I can change my Tarif after 12 months, the solution would be first to ask you to change the tarif and then cancel it?
Thank you and wish you a nice day.
Best,
Denisa

Hi Tina,
not sure what you mean. I am talking about the original contract that I signed. Never mind, I will pay the other 3 months and hope that this will be solved.
Would you send me a confirmation that the Internet will be canceled after the 3 months, please?
Thank you!
