Hey all,
I have an EasyBox 804, and had no problem at all for the past two years.
I bought a new computer and tablet, tried connecting it to the internet, and both spit out an 'valid IP not found error'.
My old laptop, my phone and my Alexa are all connected and working fine.
I restarted the router a couple of times, no help at all.
I updated the firmware of my router too, nothing works.
I know the WiFi cards of my new laptop and tablet are not shot, because they work perfectly fine tethered via Hotspot to my old laptop.
Should I request a new MIC and try resetting the router?
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards

Hi GSWoInternet,
would you like to send me a PN with your customer number?
Just click on my avatar and then go to "Sende eine private Nachricht".
I can send you a new MIC by SMS.
Please note that the old MIC is no longer valid after reset. This should not result in a connection fault.
Best regards,
Michi

Hello GSWoInternet,
when you say that the other devices are working fine when they*re connected via WiFi on the EasyBox, I can rule out a mistake from the box.
Did you loose the welcome letter with the MIC?

Dany

Hi Dany,
An update. I switched on the Guest WiFi option in the router, and chose a different WiFi name for that.
The devices that were not connecting to the WiFi are now connecting to the Guest WiFi, without issue.
They still don't connect to the main WiFi.
Anticipating a reset, I requested a new MIC, and have it on hand now.

Hi GSWoInternet,
resetting your EB 804 would be my first tip for you.
You can leave me your customer data, customer password as well as your current mobile-number via pn and I´ll check, if I can send you a new MIC immediately ![]()

Hi Kira,
I might sound a bit daft, but I couldn't figure out how to send you a PN.
An update to my rather strange problem, I tried connecting a LAN cable to my laptop, which connects via WiFi, it failed to connect.
I tried a different laptop with LAN, doesn't connect.
Edit : For the sake of clarity, the laptop that was connected to WiFi doesn't connect through LAN cable anymore. Once I disconnect from LAN and turn on WiFi, the Laptop connects. I tried swapping the LAN cable for a new one, doesn't help.
I tried turning on and off the Modem, a lot of times, doesn't help too.

Hi GSWoInternet,
it seems to be a problem in our personal network, I suggest. Did you already check the firewall and network settings in your laptop? I think it's no problem with the router itself.

Dear Danny
I tried installing a fresh copy of Windows on to the laptop. Again, the internet doesn't connect via LAN cable, but connects through WLAN. I bought a new cable to see if my old cable was the problem. I still can't connect via cable, even with a brand new cable.
I have set all firewall options to its default, and uninstalled the anti-virus software, yet, doesn't help.
Any help getting the cable internet going would be appreciated.
To be clear, I have internet access, only via WiFi. Not through Cable. Certainly not the end of the world, but I wish to plug my laptop to the cable to get a bit more speed out of the internet connection, as my residence has a lot of interference.

Dear Mods,
I am tempted to attempt a Modem reset.
But, I can't seem to find my modem installation code anymore.
My problem seems to be rather unique and hoping a modem reset might help.
1. Where can I request a new MIC?
2. Will resetting the modem yield new problems like not having internet. I still have nightmares of the time when Vodafone left me without internet for 2 months, taking their own sweet time to set right my connection.

Dear Michi,
I reset the modem, and the LAN port now works, and the WiFi connects to all devices.
Many thanks for the help.
You may please mark this as resolved.
