Problems with Arris TG3442DE router

Hello,

 

Quite often (every other day) the download speed will go below 10-15 Mbit/s (from 100 Mbit/s) or there will be no internet at all. Usually restarting the router from the settings (192.168.0.1) would fix the problems. But sometimes 192.168.0.1 is not even accessible and a hard reboot (power off) is required.

 

Does the router need replacement or a firmware update would remedy these issues? The current firmware version is AR01.01.117.01_091718_70.PC20.10, which seems to be almost 2 years old.

Hello Marco,

 

I have the same issue with my Arris TG3442DE. The internet is down almost all the time from two days now. I tried all the steps as in the instructions, even resetting, and it is still not working. Please let me know what shall I do. I have to work from home!
