Installation of Arris TG3442 DSL modem

Unfortunately I do not speak German. A check by the Vodafone agents indicated my flat has a DSL connection so I ordered. Subscription.
The equipment arrived and following the instructions I have setup the modem and WiFi. However the internet light on the modem just flashes red and no internet connection is available when I connect a pc or mobile phone. I have tried contacting the technical service but they do not speak English and are unable to help. Appreciate if someone could give me the necessary information on how to sort this out otherwise I will have to cancel my subscription.

first of all, you have a connection via TV-cable, not DSL.

 

I would like to have a look, because it seems, that you need a technician.
