Apologies for having to write this in English; my German is still a work in progress.
The Vodafone technician came and "activated" my DSL connection on 12th but he refused to wait for me to plug in the router to verify that it was going to work. And as it turned out, it didn't work. I am using the provided FRITZ!Box 7430 router. I was able to activate it using the code received via SMS, but the downstream DSL light keeps blinking suggesting the connection cannot be established.
I wasn't able to get past the machine on customer support hotline. Please help or advice on what I should do. I am pretty desperate -- I work from home and badly need working internet.
