Letter from ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio

Hi,

I have received a letter from "-ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio" regarding the registration and payment for mandatory TV subscription. They assigned to me and my wife contribution numbers. 

Since I have in my current cable contract with Vodafone for TV, should I and my wife react to this letter and pay the fee or under my current contract for internet and Basic TV the cost will be covered and handled by Vodafone?

I appreciate your kind assistance to this matter.

Hello, 

this fee has nothing to do with Vodafone. Every household has to pay this fee. It is like a tax. 

There are a few rules, that you dont have to pay it. If you get "Bürgergeld" you can get a paper, then it is free.
