Hello, in the last days I have checked my router for events and it looks that someone is brute-forcing my wifi. I know that I can't do anything but this will affect my router (in the sense of spikes, lag, etc)? In the last few weeks the internet it's working a little bad I have a lot of spikes when I'm playing online games with my friends. Find bellow my log that is non-stop with 2-3 tries per second. I have set my wifi to accept only what MAC addresses I allow. It is only this MAC for the moment.
12/25/2020 21:28:12 STA not included in Accept Address List : <WG-MAC=4c:12:65:***>;<STA-MAC=cc:af:78:00:00:00>;<IF=wlan0_0> Wi-Fi
Thanks,
Alex

Hello Moni,
I have discussed with the property management and they said that Vodafone has a special key and they should be able to have access to this amplifier. I will just need to open the door to the basement. I think now we can make the appointment right?
Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alecs,
the values on the router are completely clean again. Do you still notice disturbances?
Greetings Moni

Hi Moni,
In the event log there is still the same problem (see picture attached).
Regarding latency spikes etc I will need some time to figure out if this is solved. What is strage is that after I reboot the router, usually this problem is solved for 1-2 days, then is starting again to work bad. Maybe a firmware upgrade could solve this, or to change the router?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Moni,
For me it's ok to change the router.
What does this mean for me? Would there be any costs? What is the procedure?
Best Regards,
Alex

Hi Tobias,
Thank you for taking care of this.
Can you give me more details to where I should send the old device once I receive the new one?
Thanks, Alex

Hi Claudia,
Thank you for your reply, I have found all the details in the received box.
I would like to know one more thing. On the retour document it says that we should keep the accessories but we don't use them. Should I send them together with the "defect" router or should we keep them? What happens if we send now all the accessories and when the contact ends, we have to return the new router but we don't have the accessories anymore? (we received the new one only with the power supply).
Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alecs,
Yes, the exchange is without accessories. If you do not need it, send it back with pleasure. Important are modem and power supply.
Best regards Fred
