Hi all! So I faced this ridiculous problem with Vodafone. I bought a contract online thinking it should be easy to port my current pre paid number to the new contract.

 

To my surprise, Vodafone tells me it’s impossible now. Which is insane. And they decline to cancel my contract to start over again from the prepaid because apparently the contract time is over 2 weeks even thought I still didn’t receive my phone and my eSIM!

 

I’m shocked honestly at this service.

 

can anyone help?

Hi @Apophasis,

 

That's right and it isn't ridiculous. Within a same provider you can't port a mobile phone number. 

 

You can only port a mobile phone number from or to another provider (e.g. from Telekom to VF or from VF to Telekom).

 

But it would has been possible changing from CallYa into a new contract. It would has been a normal credit/debit change. 

VF has an own process for that described in their knowledge base article (only in German).

Never worked this way

Is it over 2 weeks? - Keep trying.
