Applied new esim connection online, received phone number and customer number but NO QR code

Hello,

I recently applied for a new mobile contract without a phone, and my order has been processed successfully.

I received an email containing my new phone number, customer number, and contract number. However, I have not received the QR code or any other activation details required to add the new eSIM to my existing iPhone 15 Pro, which already has one Indian eSIM active.

I am currently unable to install the MeinVodafone app on my iPhone because my Apple Account is still configured for India.

I can log in to the Vodafone website, but my new contract and order are not shown automatically. When I try to add the contract, I am asked for an activation code. As I understand it, requesting this code would mean waiting another few days for it to arrive by post.

Could you please advise if there is any alternative way to activate my new eSIM on my existing iPhone without waiting for the MeinVodafone activation code?

Hi @ParmodX,

You will receive the additional data (activation key, QR code for eSIM) by post letter. 

Then you are able to link your mobile phone number with the activation key as a contract with MeinVodafone account at the website.

It is a bit strange, though, that Vodafone immediately emails details like the contract, order, phone, and customer numbers, yet fails to link this information to my MyVodafone website account automatically. This feels like a process gap that needs addressing to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers. Now, I have to wait another five working days just to get my eSIM set up and start using the new connection!

I can understand your frustration about it. 😒

A lot of user can't understand why the activation code isn't send by registered email after apply the contract. 

I cross my fingers that you get your post letter fast.
