Cannot access mail services if using wifi

Hello,

I cannot access email services (Outlook / mail apps) when I am connected to my Vodafone Wi-Fi.

Web browsing works fine.

Email works on mobile hotspot (4G/5G) but Fails on Vodafone Wi-Fi

Using (IMAP 993 / POP 995 / SMTP 465/587)

Do you know if there is SSL inspection, firewall, or port restriction affecting secure email traffic on the wifi routing service ?

No setup possible on the vodafone router firewall.

Problem solved by activating IPv4 on my router.

In general, we do not block common secure email ports on Vodafone cable connections. IMAP 993, POP 995 and SMTP 465 or 587 are not restricted, and there is no SSL inspection on the connection. If email access only fails when you are connected to the Vodafone Wi Fi, the cause is usually related to local settings rather than a general network block.

From our experience, typical reasons can be IPv6 related behavior, DNS resolution issues, or a temporary router configuration problem. It can also help to check whether security software or a firewall on the device behaves differently when connected to Wi-Fi. A router restart is a good first step. If possible, you can also test disabling IPv6 on the device or manually setting a public DNS server such as Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS. If multiple devices show the same behavior, this points more towards the router or connection setup.

Many thanks for your explanation.

Before asking this question I did make the following actions,

FlushDNS,

deactivate IPv6

Changed DNS servers (1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8).

test with another device (My Iphone)

same result, when connected to the wifi the Email services are not OK.

The only solution working is to use a vpn but for me it is not correct.
