Hello,
I currently live in a shared-WG and am moving to a different apartment. The current contract is in my name and i would like to transfer this to my flatmate. How can i do this?

Hello Chetan,
You cannot take the hardware with you when you take over the contract. You will also get new hardware with your new contract.

@R4mona : Can you please help, it has been more than 1 month since i moved out of my old apartment and my contract has still not been transferred. I have sent the document already, multiple times to the customer care email. Now i have stopped receiving response from the customer care completely.
And i still receiving bills and money is being deducted from my account for an internet service that i no longer am using.

to clarify things:
I am customer in BW region (heidelberg). Moved to a different apartment from 1st March 2022. I am looking to transfer my old contract at Heidelberg to the current tenant of that apartment.

It would have been easier if you had reported your move. So it looks to me that the contract transfer will not be carried out because, for example, Schufa entries or similar exist with the next tenant.
As a result, you now probably have 2 contracts that you have to pay for in case of doubt, one in the old and one in the new apartment.

And i had reported the move to vodafone in Feb, well before my move actually. Do you think my only option now is to cancell the old contract?

What have you done now? You write two things:
first you write that you had transferred your contract to the next tenant. Now you write that you reported a move. But neither is possible - either your contract moves with you, so you will continue to receive the bills, or you transfer your contract to the next tenant.
Of course, the new tenant's Schufa entries do not refer to the apartment (Vodafone West doesn't care about that), but to possible entries regarding communication contracts (mobile phone, landline & Internet) that were not paid for, for example. In such a case, the contract cannot be transferred.

I have just taken a closer look at your request. According to my system, the contract is still in your name.
When did you move out? Did you receive a confirmation of the transfer of the contract? If so, on what date should the contract be transferred to your roommate?
