Hi All,

I changed my address and tried to do it with vodafone, However after few days internet didnt work i got an email an on mein vodafone that the contract is ended please return the router, We went into vodafone shop in aachen and asked the employee to explain the issue, he said that this conrtact is ended and you need to send this router to vodafone directly and you need a new contract for the new house, and because the ending contract takes time i suggest that you start a new contract with new name, so we made a new contract with my husband name and he suggest that we take 1000cable for 39,99, And we shipped the old router to vodafone.

A month later i got a deduction on my account with an invoice but under a new customer number, I open mein vodafone under that number to check, and it seems they gave me a new customer number and transfered my bank info to it and kept deducting from my account.

Now we end up paying for 2 internet connections, We went back to vodafone shop and the employee was extremly rude & so angry and finally he said he didnt have time for us now we need to come later ! we took less than 2 min. and they are closing after 2 hours and there was no one in the shop other than us!!!

How to end the old contract and stop paying for that or cancel the new one and keep the old, just anything to stop this problem.

The old contract won't be cancelled just because you move - it'll move with you, but this can include a change of customer numbers in case you switch places due to internal reasons (e.g. switching from one part of Vodafone West to another part of Vodafone West). And even if your contract did end because the old contract couldn't be taken to your new address as it is impossible to fullfill as contractually agreed upon (e.g. same speed not possible, different technology), then the old contract ends but you need to pay for another 3 months starting the earliest by the notification of your move.

The "new" contract anyhow also cannot be simply ended as this contract was made in a store - which means that there is no withdrawal right.

So the only way right now for you is to check all the paperwork about the move - the best case would be that your contract really ends due to the unavailability of the contract at your new address; usually you then can fill out a porting form and once the new line is set up, Vodafone will end the old contract immediately.

Hi, Thank you for the response,

I understand now, I wish if the employee in vodafone shop told me this info before making get a new contract, I wouldnt end up with 2 contracts, I would continue with same old contract,

I don't think about unavailability would works for me as the new vodafone contract is already there and working. so i would assume if they send a new router for the old contract it would work too.

My old contract ends in 4/2022, if i did kündigung i would pay untill the end of 4/2022 ?

And about speed my new contract speed should be 1000 but the best was 650 is this a reason to end a contract or just forget about it 😄

Thank you so much
