Hey,
I will be leaving Germany in December and after looking through all the materials tied to the contract cancellation, I have more questions than answers.
Since the 3 months cancellation starts from the date of me moving out, I will have to pay for 3 months of using the internet, while not even being in the country anymore. Do I need to keep my bank account open for this, or can I simply pay all 3 months as I will be leaving the country?
When am I supposed to send the router back? All the information points to the direction that I have to do it after I receive the contract cancellation, which doesn't really help, because I will be abroad already and with no way of sending the router back.
Some clarification on the whole process would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Hey,
Awesome, thanks for helping me figure that out.
So since I will be leaving Germany in December, and will need to wire the amount of money myself, why can't I simply send you 2x 39,90€ for December and January?

Hello Davod69,
you can of course do that, the invoices will still be created by the system month by month. You cannot influence this manually.

Hey,
Perfect, thanks for the confirmation.
Can you tell me, when will I receive the confirmation of my contract cancellation request? It's been 2 weeks already and I haven't received anything, and I'd like to avoid paying more than I have to.

Hello DavidS9,
I cannot tell you exactly how quickly you will receive confirmation of termination. You will receive a confirmation of receipt beforehand and then the cancellation date. Have you already checked your customer portal?
Best regards
Nancy

Hey,
Where should I look for this information in the customer portal? Most parts of that website are either loading infinitely, or there is this error message:
MeinDSL & Festnetz ist derzeit leider nicht erreichbar.

Are you sure that you are right here at the cable board? If you are a customer of VFD / ex-KDG, you will receive the cancellation confirmation by email and in the MeinKabel portal as a PDF document, at VFW / ex-UM (North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg) it will be sent by post, and you can which can also be found as a PDF document in MeinVodafone in the contact area.
Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what it looks like at Vodafone GmbH in the DSL sector.

Hey,
I do have a cable connection provided by unitymedia, which Vodafone acquired. When I log into the MeinKabel portal, it sends me to MeinVodafone, where I can't check anything anyway, because the website is permanently stuck on infinite loading, or it tells me to try again later.
I used this link here to inform you about me moving away 3 weeks ago: https://kabel.vodafone.de/meinkabel/meine_kundendaten/umzugsservice/dateneingabe
I haven't received any confirmation in any shape or form. At this rate, I will just close my bank account and you people can do whatever you want. Alternatively, you can start providing some semblance of customer support so this can be resolved, but I guess that would be me expecting too much.

As a former Unitymedia customer, you can also report the move by email. Please enter your customer data so that the email can be assigned to your customer account. The MeinKabel portal is only for Vodafone Germany / ex-Kabel Germany customers.

Hey,
The email address that you provided isn't active anymore.
Moreover, all the login credentials I received from unitymedia are meant for Vodafone websites. Why am I required to report the move to unitymedia, when obviously all of the services should be managed by you at this point?

Yes, the email address is still available for Vodafone West / ex-Unitymedia customers. Only the name was changed, everything else is still the same.
