Cancellation of contract and leaving Germany

Hello. Our contract has been cancelled and it terminates in April 2022. However we will be leaving Germany in November 2021 for 3 months and when we return we will be in a hotel. So we have no use for the kabel internet again from November 1 2021. Please note that we will not be de-registering from Germany, but physically leaving Germany to return sometime in 2022.

1) Are we able to get out of paying for our unused kabel contract from November 2021 since we are leaving germany and canno use the router ever again?

2) If this is a no for legal reasons, can we change our tarriff/package to a different and cheapest one possible?

A de-registration or transfer certificate is essential for a special termination. Incidentally, you are also obliged to do so under German law if you do not move into your old apartment after returning. Only then does the special right of termination apply according to the Telecommunications Act §46 with a notice period of 3 months. You can't get past this one either.
A change to the package would also not work, as this - even if it were possible - would bring with it a new minimum contract period of 24 months.

Thanks Vodafone team. We can provide a trasfer certificate no problem, as when we leave our current apartment we will be trasnferring our registration to our friends house. then when we return to germany we will stay with them. However, we will not be able to take our internet with us as they already have vodafone internet there. So with a transfer certificate, can we receive a special termination? And take this date as our 3 month notice?

You then have to report the move with the new address. Enter the data from the existing contract (customer number and name of the contract holder are sufficient), then your contract will be terminated with the statutory period of 3 months from the relocation date according to the transfer certificate. You can attach the re-registration certificate as a photo or PDF document to the move notification or submit it later.
