Viewing home-security camera (LAN) over the internet

Dear community,

This week, I received  a new Vodafone Wi-fi 6 Station router as part of my CableMax1000 plan. I would like to view my D-Link home-security camera (connected to the router via LAN, and not WiFi) over the internet. From other posts, I understand that port-forwarding needs to be done first, in order to enable this. Could somebody please guide me regarding how to do this? My knowledge of networking is pretty limited.

Thanks in advance!

For this you need dual stack. Which federal state are you from?

Hello Kurt,

Thank you for the reply. I live in Brandenburg, on the outskirts of Berlin.

You can try using Whatsapp to see if you can activate the dual stack.

Since August 15th, 2022 there is no more individual support here in the forum. Support in English is available via WhatsApp

other Option:

set Vodafone Station into bridge mode and use your own wifi router behind

Thanks, Kurt, for the advice.

Thank you for this option. I'll first try to get dual stack enabled with Vodafone help. If that doesn't work, I'll try out bridge mode.
