First I noticed the internet stops in the evening for the past 4 days. Since yesterday it started happening randomly during the whole day. It happened just now about 20 mins ago. It happens even during the night. A test of playing Rocket League leads to game going out of sync about 30 seconds as if the latency suddenly reaches 2000ms. Amazon Prime Video and Netflix just stop and start buffering for 3-5 minutes. My other IPTV (not from Vodafone because I don't watch it) totally hangs.
- Location: Papenburg (Ems), 26871.
- Router: Fritzbox 6490
- Package: Internet + Phone + TV
- OS: Android, Linux, Windows (across all devices same behavior)
Attached is an example result of WinMTR when the problem happens:

Hello zooid,
How are your devices connected, with LAN or WLAN?
Have you checked or changed your cables?
Have you already disconnected the router from the power supply or performed a factory reset?
Have you already tested the TCP Optimizer?
Many greetings
Jana

I use LAN and WiFi (2GHz and 5GHz both are used in different devices)
You're very funny kind of support. Always first look for issues in the customer side. This is a re-occuring issue every 6 or so months this happens and it is never caused by the router I have here. Your infrastructure seems to be crumbling down I read Internet service failures all over Germany.
I'll not use TCP Optimizer until I understand what it does and how it will affect all other applications I use and all the websites I usually visit also regarding my privacy protection.
The way I read the WinMTR result the issue appears after the router not in it.

Hello zooid,
We have to ask you a few questions to find out what exactly is not working.
In order to be able to check your connection more precisely, please send me your details (customer number, name, address and date of birth) in a private message.
Then report back here when you have sent them.

Hello ,
Have you tried a different coaxial cable?
If you can rule out a defective cable, then I can offer you a technician to come and take a look at why your signal values are so bad.
Do you agree to this?
Is access to the house installation guaranteed?
Regarding COVID-19: Are you in quarantine or are there symptoms in your household that indicate COVID-19?
Send a phone number where you can be reached during the day by PN.
Get back to me here in this post when the PN is out.
Many greetings
Jana

Hello zooid,
If it works again, then it's good. However, the level values at the connection still don't look good, the offer with the technician stands.
Questions about the wiring must be asked, if we send technicians and it is because of that, he can be charged. We don't want to annoy anyone with this.
Many greetings
Jana

Hello Jana,
After I used the "Reconnect" button on my router's admin app (a few times) I got an IP address that worked well and had no increase of the latency.
However...
Your technician put an attenuator and restarted the router (that gave the router a sh.i.tty IP address once again).
Now the latency issue is back again! I'll have to use the reconnect button (and cross my fingers) until I get a stable connection. I'll do your job for you too and record all the sh.i.tty IP addresses and whatever information I can gather. Until I get pi.s.s.ed off completely and switch to telekom. I'm sick of this sh.i.t happening every few months.
