Hello,
I recently got the package Vodafone CableMax 1000 and I am using the modem that came to my place. I have connected the cable where the internet comes to the modem and a RJ45 cable to my Google Wifi. With this configuration, I have wifi connection to all my devices (I wasn't able to make the wifi from the modem work out-of-the-box, it was getting connection issues, so I decided to use my router to help me out.)
But today I decided to connect my desktop with cable, instead of using the wifi connection. And I notice a lot of problems when attempting to connect to some specific webpages.
Example, when connecting to websites which are using ipv6, they work as normal, but when a website is still in ipv4, I am always getting the ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE.
I ran a ping in my windows machine just to exemplify the problem, as you can see, even vodafone.de is unreachable for me when connected by cable.
Thank you.

Hey,
so, just try to activate the bridgemode in our customer servicecenter, it deactivate the router, so its just work as a modem with ip4 only.

Hey Tobias,
I did what you suggested, after 7 days, I logged in the panel to see if the bridge mode was turn off and it was.
I just attempted to execute the same tests that I did before, running ping + domain to see if it was working and the same problem is still happening. I turn off my modem just to ensure that it was some kind of configuration that was missing but I am still having issues to connect to ipv4 domains.
Do I need to do any changes in the modem adminstration area?
Thank you.

Hello FelipeUmpierre,
according to the survey, brigdemode is still off. Can you please turn it on.
Best regards

Hello Moni_GK,
for what I understood about the bridge mode, it will only allow my Vodafone Modem to be used by one cable connection, is that correct? Isn't possible to configure the modem itself to allow connection to ipv4 and ipv6 websites?
Thank you.

Hello FelipeUmpierre,
with an active bridgemode the router is turned into a modem. The device that is connected with the LAN1 socket gets an IPv4 address. If that is a router, you may do your configuration there.
Kind regards,
Claudia

Hello Claudia,
I have recently ordered the Fritz!Box 6591 Cable to replace the Vodafone Modem that I received when I purchased the Vodafone CableMax 1000. I noticed that now I am not able to enable the bridge mode in the settings when accessing the Vodafone private customer. I am wondering if is possible to enable the bridge mode directly in the Fritz!Box instead of the Vodafone configuration panel. Is that something doable?
Thank you.

Hello FelipeUmpierre,
the bridge mode can only be enabled with a cable router, not a Fritzbox.
Kind regards,
Claudia
