Good evening.

I apologize that I am writing in English. I am staying in Germany as a guest scientist till 3th of February. And sadly I don't speak german...

The person who works in Vodafone's office (Wuppertal, CityArkaden) said that I can cancel it any time, I just need to come to his office 1 month before leaving the country.
And I did as he said. I came to his office, signed the paper with full explanation of my situation and sent documents provided by my scholarship sponsor via fax to Vodafone company.
So, soon I recieved this:

I was a bit confused that I have to pay for the account for 18 months more.
And I am not going back to Germany because my project ends soon and I don't have any other opportunities to stay here longer, sadly. I was not able to extend it.
And in Kaliningrad (Russian Federation) I wont be able to use Vodafone number...
Thank you very much for your time.

Best regards,
XXX ILIA

Hello @Ilia,

sorry for that confusion. Smiley (traurig)

A mobile contract always has a term of 24 months. That's the reason because we charge a compensation payment now.

You could write me a private message and I will take look at this. Then I check if I can do something here.

Best Regards

Sebastian
