I wrote an email to the Vodapone support email, however, they informed me I should post on the forum and a colleague can support me in English (couldn't do so via support). Therefore, I am wondering if someone can explain the cancellation terms, specific to my contract, as I will most likely be moving out of Germany come September and October and I want to make sure I avoid any unnecessary fees.

Hello Rachel,
the conditions for termination due to relocation are as follows: You register a move and enter the new address. If it is abroad, termination is terminated at the end of the term. This can be adjusted if you submit the proof (deregistration from Germany) later. The adjustment is made in accordance with the Telecommunications Act: moving date/ deregistration + 3 months.

Hello Rachel,
we need the new address at the time of the relocation notice so that it can be adjusted accordingly. This ensures that mail that has yet to be sent to you is delivered. Please submit the cancellation form or send it in as soon as you have it.

Good Morning,
I submitted a cancellation notice to vodafone via email and received an email asking for a copy of the rental agreement (with the start of the contract, the new address and the signature of all parties). As we will be living with my parents when moving back, we won't have formal contract. Therefore, can we send you a copy of the de-registration end of October (cancellation notice for October 31) along with the modem? Should I also send this information to:

Good afternoon,
I just received the following email from Vodafone and it looks like we'll have to wait for 3 months of service until February, 2019 (see attachment)? Is this correct? I was informed that if we provide a copy of the deregistration (as we no longer reside in Germany) we would not be charged for this period. I started this thread in May, 2018 to make sure this did not happen. Any help would be helpful!

Hi rachel_d_118,
as Grit already wrote in May, the contract ends three months after the moving date.
Due to German law the contract may be terminated prematurely, but only with three months' notice from the day of your move.
